Tbf if it is the vanos then it's pretty much an engine out job anyway. Plus the cost of the new vanos then fitting aswell. Vanos don't tend to go wrong. If mine went in needing a battery and same out needing an engine then I'd be having a few choice words. And I would choose nice ones...

I use that stuff all the time. Most car places have it, I get it from the levy wholesaler. RS will have it too. it's good stuff, fast drying and leaves no residue
