Ooo get you lol. It's getting ridiculous though here because the local stations had run out of diesel and getting biodiesel was getting difficult too so I'm looking for alternative means. Beats running on used engine oil or red diesel like some of the Land Rover owners I've heared of..

Hi, changed the fuel filter as you said and voilla, it runs! FAST (ish) :D Cheers mate. It's still not as fast as my other 300 Tdi though (which has done only 23,000 miles) so I think the injectors definately want doing as well. But thanks for the replies people, at least it runs again now. :D...

Removing the EGR doesn't get classed as a performance modification, it's a removal of an emission control device which may require the vehicle to be given an early MOT or at the very least an emissions test. I'm going to remove my EGR completely. Fit typhoon exhaust with expansion chamber...

Remove the reverse switch from the gearbox housing, spray it with duck oil or 3 in 1 oil (Don't use WD40, it leaves a salty residue that can stick after a while) and then refit using a light duty loctite thread sealer. Shouldn't give problems again

Will be modding a 3.9 V8i next, though not sure if I should do it up for the road (performance) or go all out and turn it into a monster truck of an off roader with a 6" lift kit, seen one on ebay and it was frightningly large!

My valve wasn't stuck open, but was well sooted up as expected, I'm going to completely remove it soon as opposed to just using a blanking plate, slowly but surely will get Twisted Performance to get it up to 220BHP. Definately though blanking it off gives a marked improvement.
