Hi, been told my idler pulley bearings are shot, wondered werther to change just bearings or new assembly, just theres a big price difference between oe etc, apart from bearing quality cant understand why there so expensive, timken bearings are around 5quid! Plus does anyone know if the bearings...

Thanks james, was just unsure of oils because of the additives , got either fleabay or eurocar parts to deal with and no difinitive answers, im trying to upgrade things to best i can as i go along!

Hi, im sure its covered hundreds of times but fedup of searching hundreds of answers, been to euro car parts for diff oil, tripleqx 75w90, 37quid for 5 litres, seen ls 75w90 synthetic gl4/5 on fleabay for 27, seems what i can make out is i can use lsd oil in diffs as it has ep additives anyhow...

Yeah and problem being is they know how to get round most security, tried looking for known faults with some security items but hard tracking the right info:confused:

Haha thanks mate, security is bit of a nightmare, didnt realise until i bought it! As for the bespoke parts, im actually into building bikes and was meant to have 2 finished this year until i bought the defender! The little spare time i have was meant to be modding not replacing bodged bits...

Thought id say hi, new to the crazy ups and downs world of the landy! Ive a 110 doublecab td5, bought it so i could make bespoke parts and do bits of work myself, saying that its become a never ending money pit!
