What have you done to your Freelander today

Have sent a request to local firm for remapping Information and quote today. And it’s only 4:30 in the morning! May try to re-spring the rear door (tail gate) handle as it’s been floppy for ages. Like my

FL1 TD4; blank off EGR and lose it if talking about the actual mechanical stuff; it occurs to me that you may mean some sort of paperwork? If so, leave ppw alone, if I were you.

Needed one that I could use without power for motorcycles and large inflatable women. And need some exercise. And don’t get out much.

What have you done to your Freelander today

Thanks for replies, I have found a German make foot pump single cylinder for £20 which looks like it is robust enough to take me kicking the pony and trap out of it so ve shall see it zis vorks. Apparently same one used to pump up Tiger tank tyres the man said

What have you done to your Freelander today

What I tried to do today was pump up my tyres with a foot pump I bought. The pump self destructed on first pump so I took it back. All I want is a robust foot pump that will last a few years; don’t need any special kit as only for home use for hippo and motorcycles. Any suggestions/recommendations?

That is a really good idea nice one. It seems to me that they are designed to get knocked off if it gets muddy in there.

What have you done to your Freelander today

Today I replaced the small rectangular piece of plastic inside the front wheel arch which you apparently remove to access the indicator bulb which appears to have been missing for a while but I did not even know existed until I noticed the hole last week! Freelander; a never ending source of...

    Freelander 1 2.0 TD4 4x4 FUEL RAIL HIGH PRESSURE SENSOR LR009732 - repair

Yeah, RHD indeed. I have found replacement for £15. I wonder how long that has been missing? I have not done the indicator bulb. Glad I found it and as ever on the Hippo part was on EBay. I noticed it while I was- get this- polishing the wheels!!!! I tried to scrub them clean with a brush and...

    Freelander 1 2.0 TD4 4x4 FUEL RAIL HIGH PRESSURE SENSOR LR009732 - repair

I thought that was the indicator. When I did the obvious and rammed my hand right in I thought I could feel the air intake. If so, is this the air intake route and where does it collect air from outside the engine because I don’t think it is supposed to be through the hole in the wheel arch ha

    Freelander 1 2.0 TD4 4x4 FUEL RAIL HIGH PRESSURE SENSOR LR009732 - repair

This is how small the silicone dialectic compound came but it has lasted me years. Was about £3 on EBay. All I can say is it worked for me and I have read about a lot of folk rebuilding the high pressure fuel rail with the same sounding problem to the TD4 and at the end of the day the results...

    Freelander 1 2.0 TD4 4x4 FUEL RAIL HIGH PRESSURE SENSOR LR009732 - repair

Ok, just cleaned, dried and reseated my High Pressure Fuel Sensor connections same as before. Started to get that pausing, chugging feeling so knew it was coming. Disconnected sensor plug carefully then cleaned and dried using mirrors to see and everything. When satisfied I squeezed some...

What have you done to your Freelander today

I think that when I replaced the belts I used a 24mm ring spanner that fit very securely; bought it specially. Also had to have wheel off I believe. When you have found a really decent fitting spanner the thing that needs to be emphasised really strongly is that to move the tensioner enough to...

    Freelander 1 2.0 TD4 4x4 FUEL RAIL HIGH PRESSURE SENSOR LR009732 - repair

Funnily enough I am going to have to reseal that connection on mine as it’s just started grumbling again. I bought some apparently ‘special’ electrical sealant from a place on EBay which is especially for preventing and also expelling moisture from electrical connections such as this. I will...
