Mine was left side facing the car, but you have a exhaust manifold both sides. If you place a length of pipe to your ear you can trace the source of the noise. Careful what you are doing obviously. Steve

Hi My 91 classic had a sound which was exactly like tappet sound, from around the spark plugs. This was a blowing exhaust manifold gasket. Nice and easy to fix as long as the bolts come out. Steve

Just fixed the rattly brake pads on the front of my RRC. The return spring just needed a bit of a stretch. ?? They rattled over every bump in the road but stopped under braking.
