is there a difference between RR Classic and disco then??

ahh i also thought the disco and rr diffs were a higher ratio, wouldnt changing the transfer box for a disco one mean my speedo would be out??? i'll keep an eye out for 300tdi axles then, as its the same ratio i will only have to change the rear axle right?

Im thinking of putting disco axles on a 90, is it worth it?? I want rear discs and the higher ration, any other benifits? also any difference between disco and rr classic?? thanks

Hi, one of mine was binding and it took weeks to figure out why and it ended up being a rusted retaining screw that we had to destroy to get the drum off and there was a bit of the screw left over that was stopping the drum from sitting flush, i grinded it down in 2 secs and it was fine.

Yeah i dont want a lift anyway, it wont be used in any extreme situations, just weekends away. Anyone fitted disco axles, mainly i wont disks on the rear but also there a higher ratio to so better cruising speed and mpg??

Yeah i was thinking disco axles, engine upgrades and new suspension, dont really need a lift on it. Origional colour and seats and new stereo etc. have to start saving

i cant move the brake shoes the adjuster is seized and i cant get the drum off because its seized!

The landy has been sitting still for 8 months now and the transmission brake is completly seized, i tightend the bolt that attaches the brake lever to the rod that runs vertical and now nothing moves atall. I tried hitting the bit that joins the brake cylinder to the vertical rod and it wont...

If your going to both sanding it down then might aswell paint it properly, use an etch primer on any bare metal then coat the whole thing in 2 coats of hi build primer, and maybe a 3rd if its still rough, then paint on top of that. you wil have a good smooth finish then and you can use gloss!

I got them working!!! i found a loose wire in the fuse box, so releived its taking me agers!

Thanks for that, i will check my fuses because the wires going into the fuses dont match any diagram ive seen but i didnt want to be messing with it because everything but the light was working, next time im home i'll take a picture or make a diagram and hopfully someone can shed some light on it

yeah i had one probe on the bulb and the other going to earth, as in the virtual earth on the battery. i seen the power probe but only for mains voltage yeah thats not my car its the best picture i could find online with the center auxillary console. The landy is based on the wirral i only get...

yeah the bulbs r fine, ive also put a voltmeter across the bulb and theres nothing, the earths have been checked there fine. it could be the bulb holder but the rear lights work fine. the center aux dash is a millitary thing i caant see it on any diagrams http://siddall.info/lr/dash.jpg its...
