Land Rover is to build airliners

I can imagine, as the plane banks to line up for landing and a load of water rushes through the window seal and soaks half the passengers. The heaters wont work on them either. Bet the clutch will squeek too.....;)

whats the best defender engine ? poll

I cant really see the point of the TDV6 in a Defender, the fuel economy of ones I've are terrible plus the fact that Diesel is more expensive. Be aswel just doing a V8 and for the price of the conversion you could have a very nice V8 at that. More power and sounds much nicer!

Mine doesn't speak to me, well maybe growls occassionally, but she actually inflicts pain quite a bit! I have marks to prove it!!

Fitting PRC3122 Oil Pressure Gauge on 3.9. Need Sender?

As in title, I'm looking to fit a Land Rover Oil Pressure Gauge (PRC3122) onto my Defender with a 3.9 V8. Does anyone know what Pressure Sender I need for this gauge as they are usually gauge specific, or so i've always believed. Do I need to contact smiths or are these fairly easy to get...

    Tapping after oil change??

Hmmmmm, Decided today, to put coolant in and run it for awhile, thinking whats the worst that can happen. The tapping went away. So took it a run up the drive and its now running on all cylinders and sounding sweet as ever. Wondering if the missing is maybe an electrical problem, had it missing...

    water pump replacement v8

I did mine and it was a pretty easy job, only thing I would watch out for is the studs can snap quite easily if your not careful. Other than that, not a bad one to do your self.

    Tapping after oil change??

Bugger, lol. We took the oil pump off, turns out the pressure release valve had jammed on the piece of gauze. So took that all out cleaned it up and got it working. Also replaced the oil pump gears. Primed everything. Got oil pressure. Fired her up and it isn't pretty, she's still tapping badly...
