Ok, according to what kev wrote in fetts thread my coil is definately wired wrong :confused: in my pics the + coil terminal is facing the front but has white/black wire and ecu feed attatched :confused:

I've taken the 4 lamp grill off now, it's a bearmach jobby but they went out of production years ago

You'll probably have to do a bit of ringing round as prices seem to vary so much.. i got mine from adrian flux, mines a 93' lse on lpg, cost me £180

thanks for the reply fanatic. got haynes and rave but can't find a good diagram for the coil wiring i've never touched the coil wiring in the 2 years i've had the car but i'm wondering if the wires to + and - one the coil are back to front and whether it will make a difference? It's a late 3.9...

ok, now i'm confused.. had another look at the coil etc, + pole has a white/black wire from ig amp and another wire which i assume is the rpm pick up? -pole has a white wire which goes to earth, via a bit of sleeving (resistor?)which joins it with another white wire and a yellow wire which...

Fanatic, forgive me for being thick but i'm not sure i understand? do you mean the ignition switch may be sending a feed to the amp/coil when it should be off? and is a remote amp a better idea than the oe one on side of dizzy? :confused::o

still waiting for the new hoses to arrive, so in the mean time i decided to go over everything again with the multi meter... looks like the ig amp is pooped, Getting battery voltage across +bat - coil with ignition off. not sure what it would cause problem wise, guessing bad running, poor...

cool, let me know how you get on with the caps. I wouldn't worry about your miss noise, unless it bothers you, you'll probably end up with more nightmares getting the fannymoulds off and back on! besides most modern motors inject air into the exhaust nowadays to help reduce emissions so it'll...

plenium all clean now :) the throttle disc was out of spec, i couldn't get the stop screw to turn tho so i ermm well, filed it down :o worked a treat tho :D just trying to get the bloody ram stack bit off the inlet, kin thing is well on there! :mad:
