i've bought a series 2 for parts, as it stands i've got no id or vin plates , it has had new dumb irons in the past and a replacement bulkhead . the windscreen is a single screen not split, the bulkhead is off a 2 not defender etc . the glass in it states " conforms to BS 857-2 1967 obviously...

it seems okay when in sport mode , then again i could be very wrong as i dont use sport mode , the only noticeable difference i noticed straight away was that it seemed to be ruuning at 2000 rpm at 50-55 where it used to be around the 1750 mark
