had a fella come round thur night he checked it with auto logic system told me about maf and crank sensor .. (had similar problem before bugger wouldn't start unless you pulled fuel relay out but had good spark then ) the plugs are soaking i know they would be as its not burning off but...

what i should do next is stick the test fee to the windscreen then we'll see if he fails it .. as for the bearing he done the brakes so he should of rectified the fault he caused it would be easier to take it for test at a vosa centre at least they go buy the book and if it fails you know there...

as for the sticker he was just being a total pr k , the tyre was legal just over 2mm my fault yes but it was still legal . so kindly tell me where it should of failed . mot inspectors as i said law unto them selves

so your telling me that they ALL STRICTLY ADHERE to the book mmmmm how come my van fail on an obtruction in the windscreen (sticker in the passenger side mind detailing what the window was for )and he had it put in for me while it was there for the mot and a tyre that was supposedly below min...

im getting readings of between 7 & 10 on the short and between 15 & 19 on the long any use good or bad ?

i hope there up to it ,,they were new and the plugs , a couple of weeks ago, i got them from a 4x4 supplier, who checked they were compatable for the car honestly dont know HOW to check resistance i can do feed (live and earth) and continuety thats it

all mot inspectors are a law unto them selves im sure i would be correct in stating , they are given minimum guide lines. how they interpret these guide lines is up to them , ie take it to garage "A" and he'll fail it , take it to garage "B" and he'll pass it best get friendly with mot fella...

dont panic it could just be getting excess air out of the system let it cool first then check it

ive checked the crank sensor fixings all sound new yesterday so was maf , ive checked i got power going to the coil packs its the old style one (4 packs with 2 leads out of each) it is sparking BUT looking at it the spark , dont look that strong some are orangey colour others are bright...

does anyone know of some one who is breaking a petrol p38 in or around south wales ?

just been under my p38 looking for the spacer for my crank shaft sensor the're isnt one:eek: :doh: would any one know how thick it is ?or where i could get a replacement ? its auto petrol 4.0ltr
