stem seals are brittle hence the oil, get some forte seal rejuvinator, but bear in mind it will only work if the seals are brittle not broke

just bought some winter steelies for my disco 1 and i only have alloy wheel nuts. would it be dangerous to fit the steelies with the alloy wheel bolts. the steelies are off a defender if it makes a difference? thanks in advance. Tom
