Not going to be from dealer.
After market 'good quality' Front Prop Shaft. Supplied and fitted is £375 including VAT.
They are pleasant people and I can't do the fix myself.
People can say you're paying too much but with a gun to my head I don't have any choice.
It is what it is.

Haven't got the quote for the new prop yet but with fitting it's thought to be around £500 when speaking to the chap on the phone. Service is going to be about £269.
Also just got one of those Moto Lita Steering wheels in black - 15" that they're going to fit while they're at it.

*** UPDATE***
Call from the garage saying that they think it is the UJ's so well done to those who guessed that!!
Going to get a new prop and fit it. Hope here is that the rattling is down to the prop and simply not a symptom.
Hope is also that it hasn't done any damage / gearbox won't have...
Wow.
Lovely.
Can see you hit the same hurdle maybe as I did on the drivers side rear NAS lights. Swing lamp guard wont close when they're on. Is one or t'other!

Have wheel type 'B' on my Defender...
What inch diameter do I want to go for? 14" or 15"?
What is the standard diameter of the Defender wheel type B?
