Not sure this would work in a 90 but I took out one bench seat to make a storage box over the LHS wheel arch. I used some aluminium angle pop-riveted to the arch and across the old seat bolts. Then clad it with plywood and carpet tiles to blend into the floor. The box works really well giving...

The air hose was rotten and had holes in it. It was only when I took the airbox out that I noticed. The defender one doesn't fit so I thought a disco one might. But I see what you are saying now with the airbox where it is I probably cant use a standard one. I'll have to see about making...

Does anyone know, or can point me in the right direction of the part number for the hose that goes from the turbobo to the airbox. On a 200tdi DISCO engine.

The eagle eyed among you may well notice the source of my problems from the state of the cockpit.

Some pictures of the airbox and the new and old filters. Obviously the new one is a defender 200tdi one but the only difference I can see is the rubber base seal is a slightly different diameter. I cant see this being a problem. Plus sending the wrong parts back will be a lot cheaper without...

Bedford Thanks for the offer but its a bit of a trek. This is turning into a right F*CK up. nothing fits so far. (timing kit & airbox to turbo hose) Looks like all my research wasn't enough. Can anyone confirm its a disco engine from the engine number? before it turns out to be a 19J afterall...

Yes I've got a centre punch on the cam sprocket lines up with the cast web bit, the keyway on the crank lines up with the cast arrow above and the injector sprocket is locked with the 9.5 peg. However, is this enough to fit a new belt despite the old one breaking off so the possibility of the...

I presume 'timming case off' means taking all three drivewheels/srockets off and more possibly seased bolts. I assumed alligning the marks would work alone and the locking pin just makes the process easier. But then there is a lot of threads on here urging noobs like me to do it properly...

This is the thing. It's 1990 which from what I've read could be a 19J or 200tdi. Image searching on Google said 200tdi but that doesn't keen it hasn't been converted. Any suggestions for what to do if there isn't a hole?
