    Hands up....

Yup! A little guilty here too. I have a neighbour who paid almost £40K for his. He could have bought a nice proper one for that.

    Advice on changing FNS haflshaft

Well that's another job ticked off! Not a hard job, but it was made easy by some brake parts being recently replaced. It took a couple of hours, but only cos I was faffing around and a few stuck parts. It is a job that anyone with basic skills could do.

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Today I swapped over my front near side half shaft. Very pleased with myself. :crazy_driver:

    Advice on changing FNS haflshaft

I had an uncle like that in the 70s. Think she may now be my aunt! Thanks again all. Sounds simple enough, so will check Rave for torque setting and try it this weekend.

Also am I right in presuming that I will not have to upset the geometry of the front wheel?

    Advice on changing FNS haflshaft

No I replaced the bearing, or ratrher someone did it for me as I was at work. So the bearing is done and the seal is new. The prob is that I did not know the ABS ring was knackered. So now I have to do that as well. DOH!

    Advice on changing FNS haflshaft

Thanks W. I know the seal was only changed 2 months ago, so should be okay do you think?

    Advice on changing FNS haflshaft

My NSF half shaft has a knackered ABS ring from a failed bearing and a have a decent used one ready to go in. The old one is seriously marked! What I need to know is how easy is it and do I have to look out for any issues? Oh yeah and do I need any special tools for it? Any advice gratefully...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Ha ha! I only have that problem with the LPG. Which is why I was running on Petrol. I did get stuck on a dark winding country lane this morning when the LPG got me stuck and would not go back to petrol. All part of the privilege.

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Bloody stuck in a traffic jam for 45 mins. After 20 I realised it may be good to turn off the 4.6 petrol engine...... Still, rather be in an old Rangie than an ordinary car when stuck.

    Passed MOT today

    Yay! It lives on......:clap2:

Have one, (i930), I use on my P38 petrol and it will also read if I put it on Disco 2 on the P38. For some reason it will not read my Wabco ABS unless on D2! Not bad for £90 and will read some live data, which was what I needed.

    P38 ABS/Traction problem

Just been on that thread Data and ordered a halfshaft, I think that will be the issue, but will report back when the one I just ordered is fitted. :-) Quavey, I think I know who you mean is that the guy in the old petrol station? He did a gearbox on the Disco for us. I go past him regularly...

P38 ABS - Help me please!!!!!

Yup! Helped me today! I have been right through my ABS, (and most of the Landy-web) to try and solve my ABS problen and this is the only thing left. As I had a seriously dodgy front N/S bearing I think it has goosed my ring, if you'll pardon the expression!

Thanks Saint! Have been thinking that, but not got to buying it yet. Not convinced yet that it will tell me any more though.
