Driving yesterday, had a collision with a Focus and it will be a write off. Just done the gearbox to go with the new engine too! Just taxed, jut MOT'd, just new tyres all around and new exhaust. Sad!
I would love to do the swap. Mrs B would not go for that. Spent as much on it as it costs to buy. The other problem is where to store 2 38s whilst I do it.
Finding somewhere for one may work and there is a few quids worth of stuff in it.
Unfortunately, I had a crash in my P38 yesterday and it will most likely be written off. I had just had a rebuilt engine put in from Emmotts that has only done maybe 4k miles and was really nice and quiet.
Is it worth buying the car back from the insurance company and selling the engine...
Today I decided to write my P38 off! :-(
After fitting a new rebuilt engine, new gearbox, four new tyres and exhaust. Not to mention re-plumbing the airsuspension! I spent more on it than it is worth and will only get enough back to buy a Freelander!
At least the other driver and I are okay...
The engine has been in a few months, so I guess he gearbox was the next weakest link.
Was told fluid was full of metal bits. If I rebuild it with clutch pack A, surely that won't be enough. All the crap has been through the torque converter.
