Forecourt diesel prices haven't peaked yet...

It is, but it's hardly surprising when you look at what oilseed commodity markets like Rapeseed, Soybeans and Palm Oil have done over the past 12 months: Unfortunately my lovely graph doesn't show the scale, but the base in April 07 was at 800 cents/bushel and the peak in March 08 was...

Forecourt diesel prices haven't peaked yet...

Mr Grant again makes a very good point. We really shouldn't take availability for granted, especially as ferkin crude is back up over $108/barrel again. I predict the next 6 weeks will see fuel prices ease a little, then strengthen back up to, and possibly slightly higher than, current levels...

    Seat Belts and the Law

I've searched LZ but to no avail: please can anyone clarify the current seat belt legislation? My SWB Series III is now a truck cab, which is great but, of course, I've lost my seat belt mounts. Is it lawful to fit and use only lap belts? And if so, do they have to be inertia reel jobbies or...

Load Cover for 88" SIII Truck Cab

Afternoon All, Having finally converted my cronky ol' 88" Series III to a truck cab, thoughts naturally turn to covering the rear. I've scanned LZ and Google for a rear load cover, but to no avail. I was thinking something like a canvas sheet that bungees on round the edge, the sort of thing...

What's diesel cost for a litre where you are? I just seen 115.9p at a BP on the A14 in Suffolk, anyone paying even more (or much less)? Crude oil still spirals out of control ($108 and rising), driven by the weak USD and them greedy buggers in OPEC. Given that there's a six to eight week delay...

Im due In court Fri can anyone help !!!

You don't have to convince us, old chap. Convince the beak, break the system, then come back and gloat. (Or get stuffed for £500 & six points, which I suspect if more likely.) Good Luck now!

    veg oil news

S'right, but we really can't point our fingers at the farmers. Sure, oilseed rapeseed prices are extremely volotile at present, todays price around £370/tonne, assuming 40% oil content. This market is being driven globally by Chinese demand for food-oils, mineral oil at around $107/barrel, in...

Gotta agree, life sucks and it's all very unfair, but pursue it and you'll just get stung for more. Don't let pride or anger skew your judgement. Pay up with a smile on your face, tell them you've very very sorry and put it all behind you. Sure life sucks, but it's also far too short...

    Sticky Red Stick

Yeah, ain't that the case. Have now removed the "wicked" stereo as it was wired straight in & flattened the battery, and the six "wicked" speakers that had been oh-so expertly installed. Black & yellow insulation tape everywhere..... The wiring and lamps for all SIX 100W spotlights have also...

    Sticky Red Stick

Stoopid question time: Just how much effort should it take to shift my Red stick from high (forward) to low (back)? Right now it ain't shifting anywhere, presumably as the result of numerous previous owners never using the low box. The yellow pops up & down ok, it's only the red that appears...

    Range rover LPG/Insurance

Hi, LPG is straight forward and, once fitted, requires next to no maintenance. I ran a 3.5V8i on LPG for 4 years and 50,000 miles, and saved £35 everytime I filled up. Be aware that LPG has a slighlty lower calorific value than petrol so doesn't quite give the same mpg. My Disco gave...
