Silly question but how do you know that it's running hot.? Did it "use" water or spit it out of the overflow pipe.

Collected my spare petrol SWB on a 4 wheeled trailer behind the 2.25 diesesel lightweight. Wish i'd driven the petrol and towed the lightweight. Stopping was scary but as the top speed is so low you can jump out and tell the car/milk-float you're about to hit to get the *&c^ out of the way.!

Are you sure your master cylinder is ok and set correctly. If you have a spare hydraulic pipe or bleed screw wot fits into the outlet port of the master cylinder, fit it, crimp or block it and check the peddle then. There should be minimal movement then it should lock up solid. The slave...

I put some in my Lightweight fitted with skinny tyres n rims and with OD its given a 10mph increase top end. The oil filler for the rear diff on the LW has the level plug in it. You will have to either drain the axle and fill it with the new diff fitted through the air vent or modify the case...

I must be fick... I read it as he could get gears but no drive. I leaves me lightweight in "N" on the Transferbox lever to confuse any thieves or toerags. Caught out the GF as well.. Ha Ha

Are you saying that with the engine running you can put it in gear but get no drive.?

Before you get the Diffs if you do.. make sure you can change the rear diff. The ring of nuts must face forward. I'm led to believe that some LWB's 3's had a tougher axle made by Salisbury and the diffs do not swop..?

I've got a 2n1/4 dieseseal in me lightweight and even with overdrive 50 was flat out and so so loud. So in with a pair of Rangie diffs and now it's liveable with. I've got the toy town wheels and tyres on it to keep it nearly original (apart from the motor) so if you've got LWB tyres and rims...

Just done my master and slave cylinders. £30.00 for the pair. 1 bolt easy, 1 bolt was a ****ing ba***** I hate this old s**ter sort of bolt.! If your master has not been leaking for eons no problems. Set up the free play before sealing down the pedal box lid first.

All I did was to nip round the block as the sun was out, when I lost the ability to get 4th, then 3rd. 2nd became a struggle but no slipping and the O/D is fine. Got home... copped with the pedal giving it many pumps and the clutch stayed dissengaged....???? A cup of tea later all the gears...
