What have you done to your Landie today.

I started building up my beadlocks in the sunshine. Then it got cloudy again and I gave up

What have you done to your Landie today.

Get violent with it! Leave the nut on half a turn, and start pulling side to side. Don't just try to pull it off smoothly, it won't move. It needs to be shocked off. Bit of plusgas would help...

    ARB compressor CKMA12 fitting location

Attached. Taken before I had quite finished the install (no wiring and drivers seat is obviously out), but you can see where it is. On a side note, it's a total pain in the arse to do the bolts up when you try and attach it to something vertical

    ARB compressor CKMA12 fitting location

Mine is behind the drivers seat on the bulkhead, nice and high. Remember you want to keep it dry, so don't put it under the bonnet or battery box because that is too low.

    Trailer - challenge truck build

Was down at gigglepin the other day talking to Jim, he was saying he was very impressed with how you drove so must have been doing a decent job of it!

Nice! Make sure your winch bitch has sunglasses. Not joking, last night section I did almost everyone with those light bars was wearing sunglasses because it absolutely blinds you if you have to turn towards the truck

    Winch Control Switches

Winch will freespool when you turn the freespool lever that is on the winch gearbox. Just because you are not winching does not mean it automatically goes into freespool. Cba to find a diagram, but don't fit a split charge. Waste of time

    Disco Tray back build

Shouldn't think you will find that many people at KOV racing on land rover axles, especially not this year

    Winch Control Switches

Having separate switches to winch in and out is a VERY bad idea, do not do it. You don't need any wiring for freespool unless you have air activated freespool, do you?

    Drive Flange Plate

571752 - gasket RUC105200 - drive flange I tend to order from either Land Rover Parts and Spares Direct or Land Rover Parts | Range Rover Spares - Accessories | Paddock 1 will be fine, no need for a pair. Make sure to put some oil/grease on the CV end before you fit the new flange otherwise...

    Rear diff

Easy to do yourself with minimal tools, cost to you should be no more than £70 (that's a new diff, tube of gasket sealant and some oil)

    Can you identify this joint?

If you just want the boot, I bought this off ebay for mine. Fitted one to my drop arm last week, perfect fit. LAND ROVER TRACK ROD RUBBER BOOT - Five X 214649 | eBay

    Head Gasket Rebuild

Use a pressed metal version of the P gasket, not the crap cardboard one. I used a metal gasket with some hylomar sealant on either side of it, not leaked a drip yet!

    twin battery setup

I'm using a pair of Numax batteries (Numax CXV31MF Sealed Leisure Battery 12V 110Ah 1000MCA 500 Cycles XV31MF - Leisure Batteries - Numax Leisure Batteries), higher capacity and cca than optima. I have them linked in parallel normally, but have added solenoids so that at the flick of a switch...

    Challenge / comp truck

Personal preference I reckon. Plenty of people swear blind by one or the other, there does seem to be more people converting to auto recently though for challenges. Can't comment on trialing. If you are entering challenges with class setups, I def would not weld the diff. A front winch and a...
