No but i wouldnt advise going any wider without wheel spacers otherwise they might scrub. I used to run 235/70 16 compared to 225/55/17 which were standard fitment and they didnt scrub at all, now gone to 205/80 16 as there is a much wider range of tyres available.

215/80 15 i think is the biggest without mods.

I went for a bigger profile as well to give me a bit more lift. (ground clearance)

Providing you take it easier round corners they arent too bad. But like longdog said they are mud tyres so not ideal for motorways.

KUMHO KL71, just put four on my td4 for £300 all in. Bit of road noise but they are quite aggressive so that wasnt much of a surprise. Very good off road though, they have pulled me through everything ive thrown in front of them so far.

I completely understand where your coming from, i would have bought a classic myself if i had the time and money to maintain it properly. I liked the thought of the LSE but they go for so much money in good condition. (any classic does)
