    there are 2 main companies offering replacement chassis. galvanised 110 chassis is about 1200 quid supply only. no idea what a company would charge to do the job now. its a diy job if you have half decent diy skill. best with 2 men and take a week or so. or maybe say a month of weekends...

    he says that the battery falls to 12.5v after 24 hrs, with no useage! not after a few months! that clearly shows the battery is more than likely feckin duff. and it fails to start the car after 20 minutes!

    aye. forget the winch, unless you get a real proper hydraulic one. get a hi lift jack and maybe a tirfor hand winch. much cheaper and far more reliable.

    its almost impossible to do it in situ. ive know peeps spend literally hours getting it back on. there is no easy answer. unless you got fingers a metre long and about 3mm thick. come home ET.

    normal is 12.6v anything below 12.4 requires a charge. if its not holding a charge, then the battery is duff. and that feckin unipart warranty is shyte.

    best value tune for the tdi is to remove the egr thingy. fit a big intercooler and tweak the IP. if you want even more, then best swap the tdi for the v8 petrol lump.
