    Radius arm bush replacement

Wammers....You are correct as always, but as I was replacing all ball joints as well as fitting polybushes, the universal tool served both purposes. Although not ideal, it did the job.

    Radius arm bush replacement

I had to replace the ball joints & bushes on my P38 & decided to buy a Universal Ball joint kit from eBay. Although quite expensive at approx £80, if meant all of the bushes could be changed on the vehicle instead if removing them to take to a press. Worth considering in the long run.

    Aircon, where to start?

If the screen is misting up with cool air, check the carpet isn't wet by the drivers feet. When my O rings were leaking causing the carpet to get damp, turning the fan on only helped to mist things up.

    ABS Sensor fault live readings

Update Followed Wammers suggestion, removed LH rear sensor, connected digital meter between connector pins & wiggled entire length of cable. There was no break in continuity so thought it must be the main loom. Before checking further, a quick inspection of the connector pins in the socket...

    ABS Sensor fault live readings

Thanks warmers. I take it continuity across the pins of sensor OK, open circuit bad. Volts across feed to sensor good, no volts bad.

    ABS Sensor fault live readings

4065 - sensor left hand rear (sensor dc failure, broken wire, sensor impedance too high/low) Current fault.

    ABS Sensor fault live readings

Took it for a run.... ABS Fault is still there. Tried to clear the fault & it wouldn't clear. Does this point more now to a broken wire?

    ABS Sensor fault live readings

Thanks guys Sensor disconnected, contacts cleaned, refitted, faults cleared. ABS Fault from message centre gone. Let's see if that's sorted it. Time will tell.

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Rollo My diagnostics just showed the historical fault that was there initially. The heating system worked fine but clearing the fault finishes off the repair.
  13. E

    ABS Sensor fault live readings

Diagnostics indicate LH rear fault. Live readings indicate stable voltages for other 3 sensors but LH rear fluctuates from 2.39v to 0v when idling & stationary. Does this confirm faulty sensor?

What did you do with your Range Rover today

@rollo Well done, hopefully this will cure the book symbol as it did on mine. It will be worth checking on diagnostics as I found the original fault code still stored in memory even though the book symbol had gone. I then cleared the fault. That was then job done.

What did you do with your Range Rover today

@Rollo The sensor was purchased from Island 4x4 & arrived quickly. Fitting only involved removing lower dash panel on drivers side (4 screws). The sensor is up between the pipes behind the heater matrix. Release wiring connector, undo retaining clip & remove. Fitting is reverse. It is a bit...

Mick, I had intermittent book symbol on my 4.6 thor. Diagnostics indicated heater matrix temp sensor. £22 & 15 mins to fit. Sorted. Hope yours is the same. Eric
