i thought there seemed to be some suggestion that some aftermarket rads didn't have this baffle - hence the marble test. i was just wondering if anyone knew whether the rad available from Island (made by nissens) had such a baffle?

i fitted an island 4x4 radiator yesterday. it has inlet & outlet for oil cooler pipes but on my auto DHSE its not required. i just left them blanked. not sure whether its baffled?? car seems to run nice and cool though - just been out for a test run

my 2001 p38 was continually 'bouncing' the locks. i lived with it for a few years and it seemed to get worse. finally got round to changing the lock unit in the drivers door. no problems since then

update.....i've installed the new lock mechanism using bullet connectors and amalgamating tape. the locks have bounced once over the last few days and twice the information system made that triple bleep sound - with no warning message appearing in the dash. on the plus side, the tailgate lock...

folks, i've had the dodgy 'bouncing' central locking for several years and the motor in the drivers door lock has been making strange noises. so i decided to replace the lock mechanism. found a good deal on a new one and have fitted it to the car. only then did i realise the wiring connectors...

cheers folks.i'll cycle the controls regularly as you suggest. Think i might hold back on the WD40 idea for now though. (i have visions of my wife being coated in a fine mist of WD40 when she turns the air con on) now thats a proper perfume!!
