Just a word to say all the paved/tarmac roads over the Long Mynd have now snow gates installed so if any one crosses from either Medlicot or the bridges on green lanes towards Church Stretton you may not get down the Burway into Stretton for petrol,diesel,, fags, pasties etc :)

Maybe you got a chipping or something stuck between the pads on one side ( it could explain the clicking ) it would hinder the braking on that side after a bit it may have dropped out. Just a thought:)

Also have a look at the roll pin that holds the gear change rods on to the gearbox linkage mine fell out completly and I lost all the gear selection. i replaced it with a 10mm bolt and nylock nut. Have a look in the search area for more details

Don't know about P38s but my 1.8 freelander is coming up on 100,000 on LPG NOW if ever a engine is said to be fragile its a K series. Have a look on the LPG Discussion forum there are many independent LPG installers who are always happy to give advice
