so can we take it that the egr valve is best left alone and all this c-ap we see about shoving ball bearings up pipes etc. is no the way ahead the guys

interesting points from the two of you there, im coming around to the conclusion the egr is best left alone even if it is going to send that oily ****y mess into the inlet tract after all i suppose you can clean out the pipes etc., better than a melt down i think.

hi all we all no that the egr valve is there to do a job, and in my opinion it is just a useless bit of kit which goes about its job very badly and most of us disable them as i have, and yes it does run better, however i have been looking around the net and apparently it is very bad to disable...

hi all i have just blocked the erg valve on my car, and i am away pulling the caravan this afternoon so it will be interesting to see how it gets on, unlike you guys i used a small plastic g clamp that i got from the local pet shop to nip the pipe seconds to fit and take of if it is no good...

na sorry £60 is an extortionate price and to be fair crimping in is the tried and tested way of doing it so still looking for a wiring diagram

hi all im wanting to fit a 12s ancillary socket to my 51 plate freelander td4 i no you can get one that plugs straight in to the loom in the back light so of i go to see mr lr to get one well he wants £60 for it hell i no i can get all the bits for about £15 and crimp in to the wiring myself...

im no expert but with them figures it sounds like you will be towing over your kerb weight which is not such a good idea, i tow a caravan with a mtplm ie total weight of 1250kg with a 51 td4 and it plays with it hope this helps
