really?? I regularly leave home in lancs to drive back to work in London Sun / Mon Nights, normally leave at 0130 - 2 am as the motorways are empty apart from a few trucks n police patrols 250 miles across the northwest, cheshire, midlands and home counties and they have never once taken a...

X Defend Pedal Lock fitted (with Pics!)

Only thing that put me off this one is the gap near the door pillar gives a very nice access point for a decent sized pry bar, posted this before and know a couple of people have had a piece stainless welded in before fitting to increase the security. Seems to be an absolutely pointless cut out...

40" of black knobbled rubber .... pure porn :)

Well since getting the 37's fitted to the 110 I've somehow felt they were inadequate and looked a little small n silly, so i bit the bullet when i heard a friend of a friend had 4 Maxxis Treps that he had ordered by mistake for a bargain price and they arrived today :) the 37's will be coming...

    Snapped rocker shaft, 300tdi

snapped in exactly the same place as mine after i rushed fitting a new head and missed the end nut off the stud, I also thought mine was just bent until stripped lol, swopped for the spare rocker shaft i had and the valve clearances were completely different, guess there is quite a variation in...

    Hammerite problems

hammerite is hopeless as a chassis topcoat as it loves to chip and track water, red oxide isnt what it used to be as the good old H&S brigade have outlawed the lead that used to make it a good rustproofer, its now no different to cheap B&Q undercoat, just more expensive. That said i did my...

    MOD Spot lights

I have theses lamps on the front n rear of my roof rack, paid £15 a lamp from a contact in the forklift industry (cost price plus vat to them), metal cased n very good but not spot lamps, they are flood lamps, make very good work lights and that is why the mod etc buy them along with ambulance n...

    Pressurising 300TDI

Think I may have cured it but time will tell, tweaked the head bolts last night, not the most scientific but definately something astray, 25% of the bolts were solid, 50% allowed at least 60-90 degrees of movement without too much effort and the last 3 or 4 getting towards 180 degrees...

The award for the weeks most hopelessly described question goes to....

Me.... Any body give me a clue to the size of the metric female connector needed to attach to the clutch flexi on a disco / defender 300tdi, the clutch pipe I have just received has a female connector the same size as the one that attaches the brake pipe to flexi pipes and it is slightly...

    Pressurising 300TDI

My 300 TDI seems to be misbehaving, she isnt using any water but as she runs the header tank level goes up slowly (very slowly) and the system pressurises. after about 150 miles the header tank will be up to the neck and water level can be dropped by releasing the air out of the stat housing...
