    Portable compressor choices

I've got £50 to spend on a portable tyre inflater. I'm looking at the T-Max 72 L/min or the Warrior twin head 90 L/min. Anyone got one these or recommend an alternative? The reviews I can find on the 72 L/min T-Max don't appear to be of the same model now available and I can't find any on the...

    Steering wheel remotes

Eventually found the fuse. There are no fuse listings in my fuse box that I can see. Trial and error worked. Presumably a P reg Discovery with factory iso plugs would have had a Philips head unit factory fitted. The steering wheel remote adapters appear to be identified as PC99-X14 on eBay...

    Steering wheel remotes

Also it looks like the stereo ignition feed fuse has blown, any ideas which this is? The manual is not being useful. This may also explain why the rear door amp stopped working.

    Steering wheel remotes

I've just bought a new Kenwood stereo which has a steering wheel remote input, can this be connected to the D1s controls? If so, which wire or do I need an adapter?

Bull bar off a 90/110 will it fit a D1?

I want one to protect headlights and indicators from hedges and the odd deer. Somewhere to bolt spot lights to and give the occasional idiot a nudge will be a bonus ;)

Bull bar off a 90/110 will it fit a D1?

That's a shame, he only wanted £45 for it. What about Classic Range Rover ones, I'm sure I saw a camel trophy style one that said Classic Range Rover or Discovery 1, but can't find it now. What about the wrap around ones? I'm struggling to fine one cheap enough to fit a D1 on eBay that isn't...

Bull bar off a 90/110 will it fit a D1?

Will a bull bar from a Defender 90/110 fit a Discovery 1, without modification?

    Bush protection

Unfortunately, not my lane, not my hedges and unsuitable for motor vehicle sign should read council don't give a flying f. Even though I've no right to, if I did cut them I'd have a lot of prickly bush to get rid off.

    Bush protection

Any suggestions on how i can reduce damage to the paintwork from hedges? I own some land down a lane which has a 'unsuitable for motor vehicles' sign. Its single track over a stone railway bridge, partially tarmacked. There are 4 individual allotments/fields that boarder the lane and all have...

    Roof light bars

Thanks, but I bought Dr. Evils. I've gone for Small LED lights (possibly make some myself later, or change the drivers in these). Its likely I'll end up mounting two per lug. A quick point for anyone making roof light bars or fitting them, if there are holes to route cables also add a drain...

    Roof light bars

I've been looking at adding some roof lights. Thinking about a 6 mount version. Is there any designs/makes I should avoid? Any dos and don't? Are the cheap eBay ones any good? Would using a roof rail be okay or would it look pants (can't find a picture of what one would look like)?

Is a PTO possible for farm machinery

I'll file that under daft ideas then. Hopefully there will be a vintage tractor cheap enough at Flookburgh Steam, then next year I can get in for free.

Is a PTO possible for farm machinery

One reason for buying a 4x4 is do do some work on my land, just chain harrowing for now. Quads tend to get stolen a lot around here (pikey cocklers) and I didn't want to go to the expense of a tractor for what little use it would have. I've just read a few threads about PTOs for hydraulic...

    Free Passenger

Would anyone up in South Cumbria mind a passenger for a day? Just looking for some green lane/off road experience/advice without paying through the teeth for it. Fuel donation will be offered.

I bought a Disco '96 V8 blind off eBay. I'd been looking at loads for weeks and this one had everything I was after. Little bit of an impulse buy as the auction only had a few minutes left when I spotted it. Before taking delivery I had numerous negative comments about it being a rot box...
