TDV8 / SUPERCHARGED, WHAT TO LOOK FOR?

It means you have confused a proper range rover with a sport... Sport requires body off, proper range rover does not

L322 Considering coming back to the fold

Stick with P38 unless you can stretch to a facelift L322 with terrain response (better gearboxes and electronics)

2008 TDV8 FFRR Engine management message

As eightinavee said boost problems normally relate to EGR faults or turbo actuators. Turbo actuators can be freed off with a bit of spray oil and a stiff bit of wire to push and pull the actuator, not easy to get at the turbos though. Can sometimes be a split hose from intercooler to manifold...

Freelander 1 Crank oil seal leaking

Will order a genuine LR seal tomorrow and hope that will fix it. I guess at £1 a seal they were bound to be cr4p

Freelander 1 Crank oil seal leaking

Hi I replaced the oil pump on my friends 1.8 Freelander, but I can't get the oil seal round the crank to stop leaking. I have already tried 3 new seals and refitting the pump, but every time I replace the oil seal the leak seems to get worse. I have checked the crank and there is a small mark...

Freelander 1 Oil pump replacement 1.8

Thanks, didn't think of cranking the engine over a couple of times to get the oil into the pump. New bolts now ordered

Freelander 1 Oil pump replacement 1.8

Hi I am replacing the oil pump on a friends 1.8 Freelander (2000 model). I have had a look ar rave and it states one of the bils should be a m6x20. When I reomved the existing pump all the bolts were the same. Looks like the previous owner did a bodge job on it as the gasket is covered in orange...

Freelander 1 Bye Bye Freelander, hello Rangie

D3 must be a wee bit softer than L322. Had a 56TDV8 for 4 years now and other than normal service items it has had an alternator, a couple of intercooler to manifold pipes and a couple of front lower arm bushes, about £500 in total. IID tool is the best, even better if you have the bluetooth...

Td4 Thermostat Replacement - The Way To Do It!

Hi all Having read the instructions I was going to leave changing the thermostat till the weekend, rather than spend 5 hours tonight struggling with it. did however have a good look under the bonnet to make sure I had the correct tools. When I looked the set-up on my freelander it was not as...

My Range hates to be filled up

could be the mis-fuel device has released, look down the filler pipe and if you can see a yellow flap in the middle of the filler you have set off the mis-fuel device.

    Gearbox remap

You can get the adaptive values reset on the gearbox. If this is what you mean by a remap, make sure you get someone who know what they are doing as the box needs to be setup again after an adaptive reset

L322,td6vogue kenwood rear dvd entertainment system info

The kenwood system is not standard fir so you will not be able to control it through the front screen in the same way you can with the factory fit DVD

    Rear axle

Locking rear diff was an option on the L322 (not many have it), best way to identify if you have the locking rear diff is to crawl under the back and look to see if the activation solenoid is on the diff. If it is present you have one, if it is not you have a standard diff. (nb the terrain...

What's your fuel economy like in your L322 / P38?

Average 25mpg from my TDV8 on mixed driving round town and A roads. have been close to 35mpg on a steady long run at 60

    Chipping........is it worth it?!

L322's are know for sticky rear brake calipers, may be worth checking you don't have one binding given your poor fuel economy.

    Diagnostic tools

You can't use it and have to go to the stealer or a good independent. All diagnostic tools have some kind of draw backs. I would have the faultmate if I had £1k to spend. I would have landrover IDS if money was no object. For £250 the IID tool does a hell of a lot and is very well supported by...
