    Buying first 110 advice

Relatively new to Defender ownership myself. But just because all seems well one day, it could be completely different the next. I thought my sunroof was water tight until I went around a steady left hand bend the other day and it started dripping on my head, and continued for another 30 seconds...

I Wanted One, I Bought One, I Don't Know Why, is This Normal?

Completely agree, bulk is the way to go. Sadly it isn't my space that I'm taking up, and apparently I already have enough "junk" about the place . Will have a think over the weekend, maybe make a phone call or two, not planning on doing much until March/April anyway, just hate playing...

I Wanted One, I Bought One, I Don't Know Why, is This Normal?

Thanks. It works out just under £29 after 15% payday discount. Take into account the delivery on the other oil which is £5.50 and it'll be £23.50 (the way I look at it lol) for 6 litres. Sadly they don't seem to stock anything much cheaper.

I Wanted One, I Bought One, I Don't Know Why, is This Normal?

Evening all!! I know this is an overly covered topic but I would really appreciate someone confirming this oil won't do any harm to my diff's and transfer box. Basically I'm thinking of ordering 6 litres of Millers Oils EP 80w90 which is GL4 spec, I'm guessing 6 litres is enough for the 90 as...

    I Should Have Checked!

Exactly the same happened to me. Noticed it wasn't working after I bought it, then took the cover off, gave the bulb a wiggle and felt as though it located itself. Hey presto, the reverse bulb worked!

    Micra mishap

I'm no insurance boffin, but always thought that the idea behind insurance companies increasing the premium after a "no fault claim" would be from this kind of backward, but logical, logic. Same car, mileage , same person driving, same house in the same area, the only differing factor being...

    My defender 90 rebuild

Always get jealous when I see a nice clean galvanised chassis! Does that mean it'll be a Q plate registration then?

I Wanted One, I Bought One, I Don't Know Why, is This Normal?

Progress has pretty much stopped recently. Building some garages with my dad has taken up a fair bit of time over the Xmas break, but will be worth it in the summer when I have somewhere secure to take the thing apart and do some work on it. Got a few bits I'm planning on doing next year with...

    Defender 90 Road Tax...?

I get what you did lol. Although it really confused the bejesus out of me for a good 10 minutes. Then it clicked  .

    Defender 90 Road Tax...?

I think I paid £230 on my '96 90 CSW in April. Edited for accuracy!!

I Wanted One, I Bought One, I Don't Know Why, is This Normal?

Congrats on the new motor, owning a Defender is definitely an experience compared to a modern vehicle! Mine had me, my dad, and a mechanic look over it before I finally bought it, but it's amazing what you notice when you own it. Hopefully it will be kind to you and won't end up biting you in...

When I got it the battery was healthy but a bit low, which seemed to hinder starting occasionally after a week or so sat. Gave the battery a good trickle charge a month ago and it starts a lot better now. When it's been driven in the last hour it will fire up almost instantaneously when the key...

Well seems I had a lucky escape, when I got the belt off I noticed it had britpart wrote on it. Must have been on in excess of a year. It's all quietened down now. For how long I don't know but will get a Dayco as a back up. Surprised it started on the turn after 5 days.

I Wanted One, I Bought One, I Don't Know Why, is This Normal?

Thanks and thanks, the colour has grown on me(I was a little unsure when I first got it), but I'll pass cheers. I'd love to start buying bits and pieces for it but sticking to just keeping it in GWO, the only time I may change the wheels is when the current tyres wear out, and there's a minimum...

    Cab Reflections

It still spooks me after almost 8 months. Keep thinking something's gaining on me at about 120mph when on A roads when I notice lights in my rear view mirror reflecting off the back window.

I Wanted One, I Bought One, I Don't Know Why, is This Normal?

Went outside and got soaked, had a look @ the belt and it matched with what my research pointed towards and is the 1580mm item. Surprised it wasn't hidden under a pulley or right down the bottom out of reach. Was easily readable with a mirror and torch. I like your thinking, and think I will...

Appreciate you have limited information to go on. Thanks I'll get one on order. I really like the way you can order very little on a Defender without checking it's compatible with your specific component haha.
