not long had the bushes renewed in the front radius arms on my 300 too mate,the steering was scarey to say the least,all great now though,did the trailing arm bushes while i was at it... DAZ

hi mate,mine was doing exactly the same,in the end i had to bend it back to shape as best i could and replace the glass channel that the glass sits in,got the rbber strip too but couldnt get the glass in to it so i just siliconed the glass in to it,job done,by the way mines a 1997 300tdi,hope...

well,i got the new switch,put it in,and nothing,no tell tale,no fogs,what now lads,this is giving me a headache... DAZ

i was getting quotes up to 1200.00,tried adrian flux and with 6 points they do mine for 525.00 fully comp,and not that it matters much but my windscreen excess is 20.00,now thats good i reckon... DAZ

well after stchris356 offered his advice over the phone,we"ve pretty much got it down to a faulty switch,so going to get one and hopefully job sorted,so a massive thanks to chris and everyone else who offered their advice to me... DAZ

i did have a problem with the light delays and bleeper,but found that to be a loose connection on the button on the door pillar,thats now sorted,thanks mate... DAZ

ive checked and found the loom with the colours given and there wasnt even a relay attached,ive bought one and put it on and still nothing,the tell tale on the switch doesnt come on,so i assume ive bought the wrong relay or the switch is broken,is it a specific relay i need, the one i bought...

my rev counter didnt work when i bought mine,97 300tdi,i peeled back the insulation on the white wire on thr alt,to find it had broke about 6 inches along,so wired it back up,sorted,hope that helps mate... DAZ

ok,ive checked pin 4,no live,only one on plug that is live is pin 2,fuse in engine bay(20amp)is fine,checked relay,found the correct one but the wires dont correspond to the colours in the manual,also there are two plugs with no relay or anything attached,would threr be any adverse effects if i...

well guys after all the excellent advice ive had on here,ive decided to post this one for you to look at,basically my rear fogs dont work,fuses all ok,new bulbs so when i push the switch i cant hear any relat click,do the fogs use a relay?could it be the switch|?and i do have the ignition and...

the guy at cheviot told me exactly the same... DAZ

problem now sorted guys,you were right it was an earth fault,i couldnt reach the main body earth without taking rad out,so fitted another earth strap,seems ok now,fingers crossed,thanks for all the help... DAZ
