i though the air con pump was actually a compressor, you could fit another hydraulic pump like a PAS motor and use that to power a RAM or hydraulic motor. A

i haven't had a look at a wiring diagram but i think the polarity is reversed to operate the motor in each direction, so the two wires, one should be + one - this will make the window go up, and visa versa on the wires to go down!

I know m8 but.......... You need a stereo to drown out those noises and at least pretend everthings fine..............

Thats a weird one, you sure the wire to the switch hasn't chaffed on something and by you fiddling round have moved it?

Im in St johns village, Woking, Used to work in Cranleigh for Grant Handling. Will keep an eye on that, discovery isn't as prepped as id like it to be, its got very road going tires on it, im saving for some flexi arches so i can fit the wheels off my series.

i have a 235,70r16 here on a disco steel. Good tread and hold air. Im in Woking if thats any help.

It was fine, like others have said the clutch needs to breath, there should be some sort of drainage hole in the bell housing anyway! Obviously you dont want any massive lumps of mud or stones getting in there! So block any huge holes, a bit of rubber mat glued on with slicone!

diff looks fine but that UJ is very worn.

Wont fit, you can get hub adaptors but these push the wheel out futher in the arch. I have seen these on a RRC and it looked ok but the arch's fouled on the wheels! I think they are around the £250 mark! Like others had said, find a nice set of disco one wheels!

could be the switch or the timer relay. I haven't had is problem before or had a good dig around the electrical side yet. But i would start at the switch and relay!!!

Grumbling sounds like pads have seen better days, check condition of discs and pads and replace as needed
