Cheeky git! I'll have you know my Defender was impeccable. I only had ONE small patch that needed welding once. Apart from 3X Universal Joints going, the rear diff, two propshafts, a water pump, three wheel bearings and countless fluid leaks; it was in 'as new condition' at all times ;)...

I'm off to view a vehicle on Sunday morning - good price, good mileage, zero chassis rot - spoke to the bloke today and have checked its MOT history and it all seems like this could well be the vehicle signalling my return to the green oval family! Can you just give me some pointers on things...

My patience might have paid off....I've found a TD5 Disco 2 with no chassis rot, in excellent condition, great mileage and at a good price. Spoke to the bloke today, viewing the vehicle on Sunday.
