M&D Engineering do a 2.8 kit i believe. and a turbo upgrade kit aswell. better to spend you money on a Brazillian TGV 2.8 i think though.

it may last 10 miles but i wouldnt say much more! this happened to me on a prima engine in my series. Thought it'll be alright, was in a rush so just chucked some shells in. got to work the next day and it was knocking again! Game over!

a 300 pump is still a bosch and i have had one on a 200 for a few years with a few tweaks and no problem at all.

it would have been oil from your swivel housings anyway not your axle. they are seperate and it keeps the cv joints lubricated. about 350ml each side.

were the shocked extended length ones as some parabolics can raise the ride height. when my missus bought her series the previous owner had fitted them but with standard shocks that were topped out when sat on level ground. put a new r380 in my mates rally disco today. dont think its gonna last very long with a 4.8 JE v8 pushing a boat load of ponies and a welded rear diff! Next rally is somerset in 2 weeks so we'll wait and see!

they didnt make a 3.9 in 87 they came out in 89. would have still benn 3.5 with flapper system.

could have ****ed up that in me 110 on a/t's!

the only way to fix it is a rebore and new pistons and rings! the way to stop it getting in to the air filter is to disconnect the breather pipe from the airbox and put it into a bottle to catch the oil. or fit a proper oil catch tank but a bottle is cheaper! worked for me for a year!

i drove my 11A for 30 miles home with the same problem. just gotta get the revs right when changing gear. although stopping and starting is fun. seem to remember have the same issue with my 1275 mini too. bloody british master cylinders!

i was after one, maybe someone else too!. i spotted that one just now, cheers anyway. i've come up with a cunning was to re-do me bmw conversion plate as the first one was slightly out. it involves various bits and bobs and a do on the lathe at work!

get the conversion changed so it flicks over at a certain revs above idle. when the efis start the revs go up for a few seconds then drop back down. mine used to change over as soon as the revs started to drop off. the signal is picked up off the red wire on the throttle potentiometer on the end...
