    headlight problem

Sounds like that is either the bulb or the connector then.

    headlight problem

I have had both problems, the connector tends to be only one of the lights if you have lost both then it most likely to be the cable in the stalk, open it up and I bet you find the black one has broken off. Just a little solder and it will all work again.

    Subs Not Woofing!

Could be that the drivers are blown or if the head unit has been changed the amp is not connected properly

    Vacume hose

Just been looking under the bonnett and saw that there is a T off the vacume hose for the brake servo. This was split and just about to fall off on mine, fixed that, but where does it go. I see it disapear on the near side throught the bulkhead?

    Wandering Steering

Thanks Adz, I might even say that I have all 3 problems put together, I might just get all the parts then I know it is all fresh. I did the steering box about a year ago now so that should be ok. Have any of you done the steering rod change? Hybridgirl, I think the drop arm ball joint...

    Wandering Steering

It may figure, it is causing me trouble on roads that are bumpy, undulating and have lory ruts especialy if I sit in the inside lane on a motorway it does tend to throw me about alot but in the other lanes it is better

    Wandering Steering

Cheers for that, I just went under it and grabed all of the different parts from the drop arm ball joint onwards and all seem to be tight. I was thinking it was most likely something to do with the ball joints but cant find any play so I was planning to change them as a matter of course anyway...

    Wandering Steering

When I am driving along on straight sections of road I find the steering wanders, not like the tracking is out but just randomly decides to head off one way or the other leaving me to recorect it. Generaly it is ok on cornering. I have recently changed all the discs and done the bearings...

    Brake pads

They are definatly bedded in ok now, they work a treat. The retaining pins are as mentioned the pins with springs and split pins in the end. This is what was on the fronts as before. The rears are different with the spring metal and long split pins. It could i supose be the calipers...

    Brake pads

I have just changed the front pads and discs all went well but I now after a few miles the pads seem to be loose in the calipers. I assume this means that I might have the wrong ones? Has anyone else had similar problems? Cheers James

    Brakes

Yes thanks, they fitted a dream except the bolt holes on the calipers I had to run a drill through to get the bolt to fit, just very slightly too small. Looks like you had a good time on sunday!
