I recently removed these from my Defender 90. They are Cobra Misano Lux with the carbon back. They cost new in the region of £900 each. Obviously these aren't new! They are however in decent condition, they could do with a wet vacume/valet to clean them up a bit but there's no major damage just...

Should I look for a vehicle that's already had some expedition mods done or start with a blank canvas? 90 or 110?

I've owned 200 and 300 tdi's in the past but drove a mates Td5 and really liked it.

Probably Scotland first, then hopefully Morocco, maybe further if I enjoy it, like I say I don't work and have a decent pension.

Are there many mods you can do to the 200 and 300 Tdi? Is it worth considering the Td5?

I recently purchased an ex-military Series 3. It's still 24v but fitted with an Iveco 2.5 turbo diesel. It came with this 'spare' 24v alternator which the previous owner told me was new. My question is, is this only any good to someone with an Iveco engine?
