Switching from 2x35mm mixers to 2xblos variable mixers.

Right now with one blos for each carb you can see that each bank just doesn't create the vacuum to open the blos all the way. I'm assuming it's the firing pattern having pauses in it if you know what I mean, as a cylinder pumps on one side the next vacuum stroke comes from the other side (have I...

Been assured this set up will work ok.

Switching from 2x35mm mixers to 2xblos variable mixers.

Yes, I ordered the blos from Poland, think they worked out at £100 each posted so if I'm selling one next week I think I'll offer it a £75+ p&p. someone can grab a bargain. I've used the two alloy pipes from the SUs to the Tee piece, then some blue silicon hose to seal these to the tee piece. I...

Switching from 2x35mm mixers to 2xblos variable mixers.

Yes, I've overdone it with the blos bling. My mistake was to imagine each bank of four cylinders to behave like two separate four cylinder engines, when they actually pump air at half rythmn (compared to an inline motor). With the next attempt using one blos for all eight cylinders I am...

Switching from 2x35mm mixers to 2xblos variable mixers.

Ran into a problem as soon as I took the car out on the open road. It would seem that the old low comp v8 doesn't creat enough vacuum through one bank on its own to fully open the Blos slide. Going to cobble together a junction pipe tomorrow so that both banks are operating through one blos and...

Switching from 2x35mm mixers to 2xblos variable mixers.

Running a 3.5 on twin SU carbs. Up to now it's been running two 35mm mixer plates. It's always felt a bit gutless on lpg, lacks grunt uphill but sits at 65mph returning 4-500klm per 90 litre fill up on a run. Been reading a lot about blos mixers being the best solution for running lpg through...

New Edlebrock 4 barrel carb or EFI

What is wrong with the strombergs? My 3.5 runs fine on its su carbs, but I rarely run on petrol. If I was to run solely on petrol I think I'd be looking at edelbrock, only one carb to set up and if the hype is to be believed, better performance and economy. Is this only because your wife...

New Edlebrock 4 barrel carb or EFI

From what I understand the edelbrock carb and manifold is easy to set up and only needs a throttle cable attaching to it. It costs a fair bit though. Alternatively the efi conversion is a fair bit cheaper but will require a lot more time investing in it to get it to work. What is your current...

45mm+ LPG mixer. where can I get one?

I have. And the price, plus four barrelled carb that won't be used as a carb plus a mixer for a low comp ancient v8 isn't worth it.

Only joking about the small block :-)

45mm+ LPG mixer. where can I get one?

The small block will need two blos carbs!!

45mm+ LPG mixer. where can I get one?

There are two U shaped pipes that run to a metal junction to the air filter, but I fear this is too far downstream of the carbs to be efficient. I am going to use a 90* elbow pipe to the mouth of the carb with the blos on the end of it. This should allow it to react quickly to the demands from...

45mm+ LPG mixer. where can I get one?

Two carbs, two mixers. More convenient than fabricating some sort of spilt intake.

45mm+ LPG mixer. where can I get one?

I'm about to fit two of these blos mixers to my twin su 3.5. Are there any adjustments that need to be made to the lpg system apart from the removal of the mixer plates? I will be setting up the blos mixers per instructions but the reducer, power valve etc?

    Rocker breather question.

While searching for a supplier of the blanking screws for the pulsair system I stumbled across a V8 builder near me. http://www.jrv8.co.uk Just been up for a visit, it's a proper old school engine builder and tuners with a wealth of experience.

    Rocker breather question.

I'm blanking off the detox exhaust holes and I've already sorted out the pipes to the carbs from the rockers. Once my blos mixers arrive the whole standard air filter system is coming out. Got it clear how it all worked now!! :-)
