    SU to efi plumbing question

There are different manifolds. This one is 22mm (3/4"?) pipe to the left of thermostat to the matrix, then from the matrix back to water pump. I'm planning to run my return pipe under the manifold.

    Which throttle cable?

Thanks matt. I'd already measured the distance between the adjuster and pin on the efi mechanism and realised I'd need a longer cable. I just wasn't sure that RRC and Disco had the same pedal end. I have a 3m length of Vespa gear cable that I can use as a lash up in the mean time though.

    Which throttle cable?

So, I shouldn't ask for advice on the forum then?? I should just assume that nobody will want to share their knowledge in order to help other members. I'm quite capable of making a throttle cable, but just thought that one of the many advocates of EFI over carbs might be able to save me some time.

    Which throttle cable?

SU to EFI conversion. Which throttle cable will I need. It's a defender.

    SU to efi plumbing question

I've been doing a thread search on this site and on google to find an answer for the temp sender issue. Quite a few people have asked the same question but they haven't posted their solution to the problem. I guess fitting the SU type sender to the efi manifold will work best. Or is there a...

    SU to efi plumbing question

Any idea if the temp sender in the efi manifold will work the same as the carb one? I mean, do I need to retro fit the one from the SU manifold by using an adaptor or cutting a new thread?

    SU to efi plumbing question

This pipe at the back of the water pump, is it send or return? If it's return, could I plumb the heater like this: front of manifold->lpg reducer->heater->back to water pump?

    SU to efi plumbing question

My current plumbing from the water pump runs to the heater through a pipe under the inlet manifold, then back into the manifold at the back. This manifold doesn't have a return from the heater at the back. Where can I run the return from the heater to? I'm still at the planning stage of this...

    SU to efi plumbing question

I should explain that I'm not using this in a normal way. I'm building an lpg only manifold using a BLOS carb as a bit of an experiment. Would it do any harm to run the return from the throttle heater into the top of the rad?

    SU to efi plumbing question

I currently have a small diameter pipe from the top of the radiator to the inlet manifold, could I use that as the return from the throttle body heater?

    SU to efi plumbing question

Could someone identify the coolant connections left to right in the pic for me? My SU manifold has a different array of pipe work and I'm trying to work out what mods I might need to do to plumb this one in.

Switching from 2x35mm mixers to 2xblos variable mixers.

I was just talking about doing that with jrv8 a couple of weeks ago. It stops the piston in the carb from wearing due to lack of lubrication also. I think I'm going to do this mod. There is a redundant vacuum take off at the back of the manifold.

Switching from 2x35mm mixers to 2xblos variable mixers.

Cheers murtle. I have an efi manifold. I will see how I get on with the SUs first.

Switching from 2x35mm mixers to 2xblos variable mixers.

Just did my first start from ice cold on gas, started after just a few seconds instead of the usual cranking for 30 secs then a cough, cranking 10 secs start from before. Progress!

Switching from 2x35mm mixers to 2xblos variable mixers.

This is the set up that I'm currently trying. I had to wait for some pipe work to arrive and that took a few days. Running one Blos through part of the original air intake system. It now creates enough vacuum to operate fully, the engine revs freely and on the road it will rev out further than...

Switching from 2x35mm mixers to 2xblos variable mixers.

TBH I don't have a clue about Lpg. I understand the blos because it's like a cross between the dellorto carbs I use on two strokes and the su carbs on the landy.

Switching from 2x35mm mixers to 2xblos variable mixers.

It didn't come with the spare tubes, but I think the mixture will be ok on the one supplied. The seller has suggested taping the front up bit by bit to increase vacuum, something I've done in the past to a lambretta air box to richer up the mixture, but if it gets to that stage and there's no...
