Need a couple of inlet manifold bits

I got myself an SD1 manifold that's been modified to take a four barrel carb, but it's missing the heater outlet that bolts to the back. Has anyone got one lying around? Could also use a thermostat housing too.

    Bottom End Rebuild

There's one on YouTube. One of the big engine building companies put it together. Hope that helps?

    How bad are they really?

Change the indicator relay and for peace of mind only, change your gearbox oil. Remember the LT85 uses mineral 20w/50 not ATF or landrover equivalent. You'll quickly get used to the fact that it's a tractor not a family SUV. That's what makes them fun!

    How bad are they really?

5th gear on the lt85 box "sings" so that's normal!!

    How bad are they really?

120ltr tank holds around 80/90 ltrs depending on temperature.

    How bad are they really?

I get around 400klm on my 120ltr tank. Sometimes on a long run at 100kph I can get close to 500. But that was all motorway from Belgium, through England and Scotland to Ireland.

    How bad are they really?

I got cold feet with mine just after I bought it, but after a week or two it started to grow on me, then we got that massive cold snap and deep snow of 2013 and I absolutely fell head over heels with the thing. Ploughing through snow a meter and a half deep laughing my head off! Would never...

    How bad are they really?

I've driven a 110 3.5 v8, su carbs LPG for four years, most as daily driver. Fit a good set of plugs NGK!!, good plug leads, rotor, cap and coil. A 1990 should already be electronic ignition as mine is and it's an ex mod 1990. This makes all the difference for starting and stopping those lpg...

    Transfer box input gear question

I've got an LT85 box and 25D transfer box which I believe is standard for my 110 V8? How do I know what input gear to order for the transfer box without stripping it down? The van is in daily use.

    The Trumpets of Doom

People can mistake their chattering for all sorts of engine woe. All the heat cycles and oil in there it's hardly surprising that they work loose.

    The Trumpets of Doom

They do come loose you know. Use loctite bearing glue to refit them.

Best mods for long distance motorway drives in a defender?

Patience and a relaxed attitude. Find the cars speed sweet spot and just relax. CB radios can make travelling in convoy fun too.

    3.9L V8 Tips

Is there a build thread? Would love to know more about the drive train and management system. I agree that the rover lump is flawed but mine being a factory v8 I can just bolt a rover lump in without too many other mods. I view my 110 as a rolling project so I'm already thinking about the next...

    3.9L V8 Tips

Ive just fitted a crower 229 to a 3.9 and fitted it to my 110 in place of a low comp 3.5. Are you running the 4.6 on the 14cux ecu? Using the 229? How is fuel consumption? I'm always planning my next upgrade.

I knew about the tune resistor, but what do you need to change on the air flow meter?
