I now carry an old rounders bat, which I also use for lead shaping when @ work ;-), just incase, it's nice n compact and easy to use. Have to be careful that plod don't see your bat, if you don't have a good reason for carrying it they'll do you for carrying an offensive weapon !!!! Seems stupid...
