Manual all the way !!!

Lol when off roading always miles from LPG garage so bought a pump and took gas bottles, even got gas to go home on off burger van as we'd had so much fun n used more than expected. All good fun !!!!

What the good Dr said '****e' mine was a pig ! Manual much better, now got Tdi and getting rid of V8 ! Even with LPG fuel is costing a fortune ( get about 130 miles if lucky to £35 + LPG) Hoping to get much better with Tdi even with extra kit on

Got a manual at moment and have had automatic v8s !! Both ok, just seems lot of hassle to change when there are plenty for sale :-)

Been getting putt putt noise coming from lhs manifold side, tried to see where blow was comin from not no avail. Today used stick with tissue on to try find leak n found it, panicked a bit when read it could've been head gasket , had quote of round £ 1000 for that doin if worst case scenario ...

Welcome, we're not far from you at all only live in Tingley. Is your V8 LPG ? if so best price gas around here is either Smithies on Huddersfield road, Birstall or Jacobs lane in Wakey(66.9). lol if not be prepared they're a bit thirsty:D and you'll get use to free wheeling down hills...

I had ABS removed from mine !! Same as you got sick of lights on/off plus was pain in arse off roading but mainly light coming on then off whenever it felt like it. Inform insurance though if you do as 'Its a modification from std'. Imagine going for Mot and light starts playing up !!!FAIL...

YRM seem to be the best ! Bought full set ! Cost about £175 though about year ago and did all repair mine needed, very well.

Welcome, I'm biased but I'd go for a V8 LPG manual, mines got under slung tanks, but if you're gonna do serious off-roading get tank in boot, bags of power and sound great.MPG not so fantastic but gas helps @ present paying £0.66 ltr also got lpg pump so can use gas bottles as we'll , 47kg...

Hi, I've used Terrafirma shocks & springs ( +2",medium)on all my Discos & found them spot on. Got 265 mud tyres on all time due to work needs, spend a lot of time on building sites, and found suspension set up works well on road as well, hardly rolls which pleases wifey no end and has stopped...

As above !! Try different station ! Had exactly same problem then went to another garage and no problem. As for idling prob google LPG forums I've had loads of advice off them and easier to find specific manufacturers.
