    Stuck vehicle. Can anyone help?

Someone has got stuck on a lane near Retford and needs help getting out. He is on a legal byway, but he went down the wrong one and is stuck across some ruts. The grid referance is SK732842, and he would be best approached from the South. If no one can get then I'll go myself, but it'll be...

    Midlands laning

I had a look this morning and it looked like they're booted a load of members apart from the hardcore knobs, it's then changed to stop new members joining too

But they didn't though. I've saw the event write up on their site a couple of days back, and there were plenty of photos of them off the route.

I've heard about the Section 59s which will coming from the weekends outing, and I've seen the photo evidence too

If that's the sort of offroading you want to do then that's fair enough, but greenlanes aren't the place for it. Why don't hire the use of a P&P site instead.

If you're trying to get the lanes closed down then carry on the way you are, as that's what will happen. If a lane's that bad then it shouldn't be driven. Go somewhere with a solid base instead, and then come back after a dry spell to avoid damage.

    Got my first Defender 90!!!

I did have an Abar on him in the past, as you'll see in the pics. We'd only had him since last year, in that time we've been laning once, and to an offroad centre once. Although we've never done anything extreme, hence why the snorkel wasn't connected, it was only for show!! We bought him from...

    Got my first Defender 90!!!

Crickey, that's my old one. It was me your wife got it from. I put the snorkel on, well half on, so let me know if you need to know anything about how to finish it off. And by the way, he's called Hector ;) I better get my avatar changed

    Stanage edge.

The problem was a hole not far from the car park at the western end. It was fairly huge, it's been filled in and now you'd struggle to know it was there.

    Stanage edge.

To be honest it depends how good your driving is. If you get the right line you'll be fine, but if you don't then you'll almost certainly get stuck. This is from the last time I was up there. It'll give you an idea of the easiest line to take. There were Pajeros there so it had to be easy...

It's fine mate. The big hole has been repaired and all is back to normal. Just remember that you need to drive from East to West

Thanks for that, it is just the barrel I wanted to change. I'll go have another try.

    Changing ignition barrel

Hi I want to change the ignition barrel on my Disco, but I'm struggling to see how the old one comes off  I'd assume I'd find two bolts at the top to undo and then the clamp would come off. But the bolts just appear to have round heads. Help!!! It's a 200tdi

    Where's the jack?

I'd be impressed if they've made it that far, I've only had it 6 hours :D

    Where's the jack?

Why are they worth a bit? I might stick 'em on Ebay :D

    Where's the jack?

Yeh I've got the jack and wedge. The roofbars are on the roof, so just looks like I'm missing the handle. I'm sure I'll be able to pick some up on eblag. Thanks for the info ;)

    Where's the jack?

In that case they must be missing  Although there doesn't appear to anywhere for them to fasten to under either of the seats. I don't suppose it's any different with being a 3 door?
