    Satnav lost north

Hi chaps. My LR radio SatNav seems to have lost it's direction, as the north pointer is stuck pointing left permanently. Any ideas? Ta.

    just fitted led sidelights

They don't seem to nick anyone around my neck of the woods, as I see the same old vehicles day after day, week after week with lights missing altogether, some with both side and head out on the same side, and when both out on the off side it's really dangerous for oncoming vehicles. They really...

Black diesel versus bio diesel versus svo

Not that difficult really. Yes you have to be a bit practical, but there's so much help available on the forum that if you can weild a spanner, and follow instructions a good percentage of you on here could do it. Check out the forum and read the header help BEFORE you start asking questions...

Black diesel versus bio diesel versus svo

Sorry to contradict you chaps, but I've been running my TD4 2005 on my homemade bio for 2 years now, (around 22,000 miles) with no problems whatsoever. The reason why it states 'no bio-diesel' in the handbook is most likely as a precaution against badly made bio, which will knacker your common...

What have you done to your Freelander today

Update. Mirror came from fleabay so removed broken one from mirror assembly, spent about half an hour removing bits of old glass and sticky backing, so nice clean heater pad to stick to now. New mirror fitted, not bad, although it's about 2 millimetres smaller than old one so a 1 mill gap all...

What have you done to your Freelander today

Just bust me bloody wing mirror. Some **** driving in the middle of the road clipped it. Ordered a new un from fleabay for about 9 quid. Could ave been worse, at least it was only the glass eh?

    Buying O rings

Lol. I have two full boxes of various sized O-rings, prolly about 60/70 different sizes, and guess what, over the years when needing an O-ring for something or other, I've NEVER had the right size. Trouble is, there are hundreds of different sizes and thicknesses, so prolly better off ordering...

    Grinding Brake Pedal

This is another problem I had about a year ago, it really ****ed me off for weeks. Same symptoms, braking was fine until the last few yards before stopping, sort of a grinding noise just like a pad was down to the metal and scraping the disc. I checked the discs several times and they looked...

Developed a whilst type winning nose front central area

Sometimes tyres wearing unevenly can make this type of noise, I once had this problem on a focus I used to have, I changed both rear wheel bearings as I thought it was them, just turned out to be tyre wear. Worth a look maybe.

Prop removal in swansea/neath S. Wales?

It's a piece of **** mate. I just took mine off yesterday. Just run the front and on to some concrete blocks if you've got no ramps (make sure there concrete and safe), you'll need two lengths of blocks so you can move the landy back about a foot to get to all the bolts on the prop. There's only...

    Another annoying bump

OK, I've sussed it. It's the VCU support bearings. I layed down beside the landy and slid a leg under and against the prop shaft next to the rear VCU bearing and pushed a few times. I got the exact same bumping noise, as I assume the bearing is hitting against the inside of the bearing...
