Have you looked at the vcu mounting bearings? Not just the bearings though, check the rubber surrounds that hold the bearings, these get knackered and allow the whole vcu to move. I proved this on mine by laying at the drivers side and placing a foot on the side of the vcu, and pushing sideways...

The bugger did it again, so here's the culprit, An effin Britpart (****part) fuel filter that's collapsed. (see photo's). Lesson learned....NEVER EVER BUY ANYTHING FROM ****PART!

Don't know for certain, but I'd be surprised if they are imperial.

So are we. Please explain a little more about what you did with the pipes, as if fuel is delivered into the Injection pump supply pipe, it will run through it and return to tank via return pipe, so not quite sure what your getting at.

High pressure regulator (on end of HP pump), or if your lucks as good as mine, HP pump. :eek:

Hi mate. Checked filter which is fairly new anyway. Passes loads of fuel, just doesn't seem to get to front of car. Strange thing is there's virtually zero information on the under wing gubbins on the whole internet, apart from what people have uploaded themselves. No proper fuel layout diagrams...

OK chaps, I'm convinced. I've ordered a new pump. £131.60 (genuine LR) I'll fit it tomorrow so fingers crossed that's the problem, or I'll be really ****ed. :mad:

Think it's OK Rasher, the fuel came out the filter no probs, but just isn't getting to the HP pump.

I had a similar thing once. It turned out to be the discs. Even though they looked perfectly OK, it was poor quality cast iron that the discs were made of that was causing it. Sometimes finding the cheapest new discs doesn't pay. You may also notice there's a lot more brake dust thrown out...
