I was wondering is there no difference in vacuum produced, when the diameter is being changed on the hoses? The original seem to be 3.2mm and other 3.5mm or? At least that's what I found somewhere on a BMW site for the TD4.

Thanks @andyfreelandy for the description. My left one gave up the ghost this morning on the way to work. Thought I drove over a fizzy drink tin till I saw that the left side didn't move anymore. I can move it manually though. Will check once it stops snowing or raining or both.

Quick update on that one. Was at the garage last week, they checked and said all would be ok, air got sucked in sometimes. Sounds a bit odd. Didn't have the chance to take the wheel off yet to see.
