Just a thought, but could you not just measure the length needed and have some stainless Goodrich brake hose made up ? I have had this done on motorcycles in the past where you had one hose from the brake master cylinder to a spliter then two hoses to each caliper, this was replaced with two...

Another good thing about going in May, early June is that most of the fannys don't do the NC500 until July and August when the school's are on holiday !

I did this last year, but I used a campervan ! We took a week but you could easily take two weeks to see everything / go everywhere. The best time would be end of May beginning of June as this is usually a dry spell for the West Highlands and there is a bonus of few midges ! Plenty of good...

When you tighten the bolts up does the leak go away ?

I took my window switches out last week to check them. Just release the radio, mine was held in with two 2 or 3 mm allen screws, pull the radio out, you don't have to disconnect any of the wires and poke the switch out from the back with your finger.

YRM do a galvanised replacement which can be fitted without lifting the body, I did it last year in about four hours.
