Well i set up the timing 2 days ago, it's possible i got it wrong i suppose?

Got my 200tdi running and driving today, I'm loving it. Only thing is, it sounds a bit knocky and i was wondering whether this was normal for these engines? Hopefully you can hear it on the video

Well thank you so much for all your help guys. It was setup correctly and un-seized in the first place but the max fuel screw wasn't wound up enough. After winding in the screw slightly it ran just fine :D You wouldn't believe the smile on my face at the moment ;)

Right, well this is getting a bit ridiculous now. I've tried every position possible and either it just doesn't fire or it starts and then hunts at idle and can't rev or increase engine speed in any way. Any ideas?

That must be what's happened, the thing won't start now.. I'll have a go at tweaking it's position again

Tweaked the lever position and now wants to fire but the battery is quite flat now lol. I'll leave it a lil bit and try it again but it feels as if it wants to idle properly now... we shall see.

Got it all back together now simply refuses to start...

The shaft that the weights are meant to push was seized solid. The problem now is that I can't get the lid back on lol

Alright I have located the seized part... working on trying to get it loose now

I've got the top of the pump back off. What should I be looking for?

There were 2 kindof rockers attached to one and other. They moved very very freely with no hesitation. All the metal looked very dull indeed with rust on some areas

Well i put it back together having not comprehended how any of it worked, and all the throttle seems to be doing is adjusting how quickly the engine spools up to max rpm.... if the idle is set low it will nearly start, but when it does catch it will immediately go to max rpm. If I say the idle...

Well, I've got the top off the injector pump. There is a lever which the throttle arm was connected to, and a pin that runs inside of a cog which will not move at all, is this normal? I'm not sure how these things work...
