    More power out of 2.5n/a

Okay, right, i was planning on replacing the pistons for TD ones due to a few stories i read online. Anyway, i looked at my engine a bit more today and it does not have the feed and return things on the block. So i have an idea of how i would do the return, but where would i get the feed from? I...

    More power out of 2.5n/a

More info and another question popped to mind: I will replace the rad with a disco one, so as to get an intercooler fitted. In regards to injection pump, i will need to replace the n/a one for sure, but can i fit a tdi one for example?

    More power out of 2.5n/a

Every time I look at posts on different sites everyone recommends I put a 200tdi in my 90. Unfortunately, I live in a ****e country where changing the engine would land me in the brown stuff. So how would I go about getting more power out of a 2.5n/a? I'm going to be using it for towing so...

Is there no room for the standard 300tdi fan? it looks like a tight fit..

    300tdi or 2.25.

Well, thanks for your opinions. I do have a 300tdi rad, intercooler, engine, everything i need just about..... If i get the lump to fit i'm fairly certain i will be able to get the turbo in with a 2.5td manifold, the engine itself is in fairly good nick, it only needs a couple of bits to get it...

    300tdi or 2.25.

At the moment in the restoration of my 1977 series 3, i still have well over 1000 euros to pay to get the 2.25 diesel rattle box back together, but i thought i could probably fit a 300tdi instead. I want to use the original box, because it has been completely overhauled and runs smooth as you...

Project halted for the mo, there is a possibility that someone gives me a 20 ton proper press arm with reverse and forwards modes and everything, sounds perfect for the job, so i'll wait and see if he can find it.

Tomorrow i'll be popping round a friend's house to kindly steal his arc welder for a little while... Proper beast of a machine that is... about 250amp arc welder, should easily weld this up. For the mo, it's just tacked in to place.
