I notice on Microcat some alloy wheels have part numbers specific to 2006 Model Year, wonder if this is due to the higher GVW of the Td4 and V6.
The drivers handbook states that 15" wheels are only fitted to the 1.8 with the normal GVW.
Don't know if it's still the same, but LR used to give the supplying dealership a bonus if the buyer took the car back there for it's first service, indicating the customer was happy with them. Back in the late nineties it was about £500 to £1500, depending on model.
On the download version of microcat you can input the reg number or vin to get the build info, yours built 1/9/2005
Dealers often upgraded base models that LR had sent them for their stock.
Your VIN tells you what Model Year car you have, 1A###### is a 2001MY, 2A###### a 2002MY, etc.
Date of registration is not accurate for MY as a car could have been sat for months before being sold and registered with the DVLA
But good enough for on road use in the snow up in the Pennines. The OP says he may only want to go up to 60 profile wintery tyres not massive off road ones.
Remove the egr valve, clean it out, and refit it. Then block the vacuum pipe off to disable it.
Did this to mine 9 years ago and it's been as clean as a whistle since, I also did the crankcase vent mod as well.
If the brake pads are well worn the caliper will have closed up and will clear the wheel. Been threads over the years on calipers catching after new pads fitted.
