    Freelander 1 Battery clamp loose

That bolt is a prime example for looking up the torque setting before winding it down. The clamp only weighs a few grams so the bolt only needs 12Nm to hold it in place, but because the battery weighs 20kg some folk swing on it like it was a wheel nut which results in the captive nut coming...

Freelander 1 oil where I dont expect it...

Early td4's had a different engine cover and a stud was fitted where the leaky bolt is now. I put a bit of ptfe tape on the bolt threads.

Torque pro readings oil temp, coolant, etc..

It sometimes does this on my 02 and 06 TD4s, try unplugging the reader and plugging it back in again.

    Correct Battery for the TD4

110 is just a size code, the drivers handbook uses a different code with H6(096) or H7(115) for a td4 so the battery tray is designed to take a 315mm long battery.

Is it legal to tow another Freelander on a transporter trailer?

As long as the trailer with the car on it does not weigh more than 2 tonnes and the trailer is within its gvw. It is the actual weight of the loaded trailer that is important, not its potential gvw, so you could use a 3.5 tonne gvw trailer as long as it weighed no more than 2 tonnes loaded.

    Freelander 1 Battery size

    The drivers handbook says a Td4 is fitted with either H6 or H7 battery depending on region, 096 or 115 in UK sizes. However the 110 is more common and competetively priced than the 115 with the same specs. 096......278 x 175 x 190 115......315 x 175 x 190 110......315 x 175 x 175

Tests new Freelander 1 owners should do on their car

2505kg gvw models have different tyre pressures, tyre loads, wheel nut torque settings, and towing weights than other models but most FL owners don't know this and may pass on incorrect advice.

Tests new Freelander 1 owners should do on their car

All four tyres having to be at the same pressure is incorrect.. Fully loaded 2505kg gvw models have to have the rear tyre pressure raised to 40 psi due to the extra load on the rear axle, running them 25% under inflated would be dangerous.
