be careful when you order them as they are smaller than the normal prop uj's some parts suppliers dont realise this and send the wrong one:doh:

took my spare apart cause it was very hard to turn and found the shaft was dead, cost of shaft was almost as much as a cheaper complete aftermarket unit, throw the seals and bearings into the equation and the hassle of getting it back together..... shop around and you may find one cheaper.:doh:

:mad: its still not playing have a 2.5 n/a lined up just need to collect it so will keep on trying for the mo..

could be an injector problem.

i've aspare 2.25 block (complete but stripped engine) dont think its been bored at all if it helps..

:welcome2: brakes may need to bed in a bit if all new.. steering check all six ball joints for play and then adjust the box a little (up in the drivers side wing), a little play in each can add up to alot.. and the chassis well if you cant poke your finger through it the you should be ok:D

if its the same block why do a lot of people say you need to mess with the mounts or is that just with the td version...:doh:

understand your frustrations ive an 88 which did run all be it with a rather loud knock, but now refuses to start full stop hence the 2.5 into series three thread...

get the v8 and swap the wife for a gas conversion :D

yes i know there are lots of threads but all point to different things. there seems to be alot of different opinions about the engine mounts some people say it will go striaght in, some say you need to cut the chassie about, some turn it around... who's telling the truth!!! and no i dont...

probably been round the clock more than once but has been looked after... most of the dry stored stock of series stuff will have been disposed of now.. looks good though:)

the light has just turned on....... place the fixed glass in the frame but dont fix, fix the locking mechanism and line up the window channel, fix this and also the sliding pane and top and side channels, carefully turn the top over and seal the fixed glass with sealant, allow to dry turn back...

think the starting probs could be an air lock in the fuel line some where..

had a go but ended up taking the fixed glass back out again as i think it needs to be spaced back a bit... bastard.......

managed to play alittle but cant seem to get the bastard started now.... was not cranking that well so changed the starter motor as i had a spare, seemed to improve and it coughed a couple of times and then severe blat flatery syndrome kicked in so now have to wait again...:doh:
