    engine swap...

lamps, voltage regulator, the engine mount on the drivers side is different(it fouls the distro pump, but one from the other side turned up side down apparently does the trick) and also a few studs are in the wrong place..

    copper brakeline kits?

the only reason copper pipe will fail is if it is not supported correctley ie if you dont put the supports for it (p clips and the little plastic one that seem to get lost or broke and forgotten about).... just to be agumentitive really.:p

    Window glass removal

use a thin flexible scraper or blade and be carefull not to chip the glass, also make a note of the spacings, as new channels and ally bits dont always line up, i had the same problem... good luck..

A bit confused about which oil & how much

the main problems seem to be between gl4 and gl5 you may have put ep90 in but which was it?? gl5 has additives in which eat brass and quite a few of the bearings contain this in the gaer box and transfer case.. as well as some axle bearings..

    Swivel & Hub Reassembly

you cant knock them off, the best way really is to grind them but do it slowly and when there is only a thin layer left a quick tap with a hammer and cold chisel will fracture what is left of the collar and then they will come off.;) oh and the chrome balls look well borked, sling em and get...
  14. pef77

    Swivel & Hub Reassembly

in the third pic there are two collars on the half shaft.. one is for the bearing in the chrome ball to run on and the other is for the seal in the end of the axle tube to seal against. if they are not in good condition you will kill the seal and get vibration from the half shaft movement...

    master cylinder shot ??

check the flexy hoses as well if its just the fronts plaing up as i've had them collapse inside and act as a one way valve..
  17. pef77

    Dodgy hand and foot brakes....

check that the springs that hold the brake shoes in position are correctly fitted as if not they may be pulling the cylinder pistons all the way back, which means every time you want to brake you will have to pump the pedal a couple of times( even if the adjusters are set correctly).
